Artist Profile:
Mexican artist from Mexico D.F, has lived in Isla Mujeres Quintana Roo for 25 years. DE LA TORRE is a painter Impressionist expressionist Autochthonous who enters the art for passion and without knowing that over the years would have a giant collection of 450 works to date using all kinds of techniques for lack of money to be able to buy painting, experimenting with techniques of watercolor, oil, dry pastel and oil, acrylic, charcoal, colors, markers, crayon, and even make-up!
With influences from Trinidad Osorio, zuñiga, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera and among others she began to paint for 20 years, since living in a place of such beautiful traditions and nature is inspired by painting with many colors the work of her soul, dances of jaranas with colorful white dresses in embroidered flowers.
Her admiration for so much traditional beauty brings to light the work that is composed of collections which she calls Raíces mayas. Married with a man of Mayan origin, De la Torre started to write her literary work of 60 stories of the Mayan zone. Book for children and adults to be released next year with precious sheets of her paintings, since that is the painting of her stories.
De La Torre brings out her experience in art for having worked as a manager, and graphologist in an important CDMX gallery with works by famous artists such as Martha Chapa, Urbina, Carlos Aguilar, Marco Polo Varela, Judy Milazzo, Victor Villareal, among many others and with families Of Tamayo, Siqueiros, Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Zuñiga, Trinidad Osorio, whom she met in person.
Therefore to her admiration to the artists and by the experience to the art she decides to begin to paint with inclination to the impressionism autochthonous expresionism and it is known like so, being a delight of imagination her work that incites to read her ongoing literary work called Happy stories.
DE LA TORRE puts on sale her paintings and also the silkscreens and cards and her line of souvenirs so that everyone has access to her work. Art lovers interested in her work called Raices mayas, so they are waiting for her great collection to be exhibited as a personal exhibition soon in Isla Mujeres, Cancun, CDMX and New Orleans !

"Soy escritora y pintora mexicana, con estilo autóctono, impresionismo y expresionismo desde hace ya 20 años.
También escribo cuentos para todas edades que hablan de personas optimistas y soñadores, historias reales que animarán a los lectores en el ámbito social, emocional y profesional.
En la actualidad estoy en otro proyecto de un libro que habla del Síndrome de Asperger, mi hija menor me ha inspirado a escribir este libro, pues ella padece de este síndrome. Estudie psicología y soy grafologa de letra, firma y arte.
Mis técnicas de pintora varían mucho pues pinto acuarela, acrílico, oleo, pastel al óleo, pastel en seco, pintura textil, comestible, y maquillaje. Tengo la influencia de varios artistas mexicanos que admiro y a quienes alguna vez promovi y vendi sus bocetos y obra original con mucho orgullo y cariño en una galeria importante de la ciudad de México. Algunos de ellos, fueron y son grandes artistas como Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Zuñiga, Urbina, Tamayo, Milazzo, Marco Polo Varela, Martha Chapa y muchos otros.
Comencé con las obras de colecciones desde hace 12 años. Una colección de obras de flores, otra de aves, otra de caracoles, otra de peces, otra de palmeras, otra de mestizas con rostros y sin rostros, sumando un total de 400 obras.
Mi tema general es la zona de Quintana Roo, ya que he vivido aqui mas de la mitad de mi vida, y es una tierra extrema de belleza natural y cultural, la cuál me inspira a pintar y contar cuentos, algunos son leyendas, otros son historias de gente real, otros son imaginados por mi hija con Síndrome de Asperger, a quien amo y admiro mucho, y otras imaginadas por mi.
Este es un libro que lucirá cada una de mis obras en una página entera y que espero y muy pronto sea publicado."
